Some might not know how to fight here so this is how you do:
When you encounter an enemy vessel. You go to red alert and you can attack in various ways. Some times you will have to retreat to survive. They can follow you if they want. If your ship is destroyed, you could die. If you post 'excape pod' before the ship is destroyed, report to character creationa and post 'new assignment' and you'll be assigned to a new ship.
Computer(me) will tell you what the damage is, like Hull Breach on Deck 5, and stuff like that.
Ways to Attack:
Phasers - can hit and do damage if the shields are down.
Photon Torpedoes - Does a lot of damage, but limited to 5 per battle.
Shields:
Shields can with stand,
16 Phaser shots or
8 Torpedoes
Torpedoes=2 phaser shots.
